My name is Wanka D. Asanji. Welcome to my page, blog and website. I have always wanted to say that. Here I am C.E.O.
I am what you call a jack of all trades, I like to dabble and try everything once, twice if I like it. But what I like to do most, is play with new ideas and "what if" scenarios. There is the way the world is and then there is the way we perceive it. Between that gap is the world of the imaginary. Any good writer's job, my job is to encapsulate that world and make it real for my viewers and audiences. To fit the world in a sentence, so to speak.
My Story
As far back as I can remember, I have always loved the art of storytelling, in all its format. Be it in film, a novel, a screenplay, a play-right, an audiobook or a comic strip.
I have always been fascinated by the hero's journey, their history, their trials and tribulations, their conviction, the antagonist- their reason for fighting. How will the protagonist overcome, every obstacle to win? Will the fighting be fair and just? What about the story run-time? Will it be convoluted? The plot? Etc.
...
That was about the time I discovered that I too, had a knack for telling stories. But I didn't want to be one of those writers who will write a book that no one reads, that will sit on a shelf and gather dust, in some library. I had to be a great writer and make people love reading my stories.
So, I set to learn and study everything about the art of storytelling, both for educational and entertainment purposes.
I wanted to tell all types of stories, in all types of genres, with heroes and villains; facing insurmountable odds, with twist and turns at every corner and a great or splendid-surprise ending, that captivated audiences, stories that moved and inspired people, that made them tick, sit and think, I wanted my stories to make them see the world in a new way. To laugh, cry and fall in love with life all over again.
So, after years of learning and telling stories, I discovered that I had another niche. Telling other people's stories but better, stepping-in, as a second set of professional eyes, to upgrade their story, take it to a whole new level. Adapting them from novels, comic books and raw-idea inception points into full flesh scripts, screenplays and bingeable stories.
